McCain South Africa is a company filled with passion, it continuously strives to foster growth within the company and to always do what best befits the family-run business.

At McCain Foods (SA), not only are we in the business of cultivating and growing quality crops but of cultivating and growing quality talent.  We have, through our Graduate Trainee Programme, contributed to the development of a number of talented individuals who have been successfully placed in permanent positions within the company.

The Graduate Trainee Programme is designed to support the achievement of the company's employment equity targets through the development of previously disadvantaged individuals and to create a pool of talented resources for scarce skills.  From an initial intake of three graduates in 2003, it has grown to around seven to ten graduate trainees per annum. A total of 53 graduates have completed this Programme since 2003, of which 32 are still with McCain (SA).

The programme, which offers a one-year employment contract to graduates in Agriculture, Food Science, Engineering, Accounting, Supply Chain and Sales & Marketing, is structured to ensure the expedited development of specific functional knowledge and skills as well as general business exposure.  They also attend a number of business. leadership and interpersonal skills courses along with broader exposure and site visits to functions such as Agriculture, Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing and the manufacturing plants.

A world of endless opportunities can be found at McCain.  For those who are prepared to work hard, this is the place where all your professional aspirations can be realised.

If you think we’re just about making good food, think again.
