Stay Crisp & Cheesy

Other Ingredients:
80g Cheddar Cheese, grated
3 rashers Streaky Bacon, cut into stripes
1 stalk Spring Onion, sliced
20g Butter
20g Flour
125ml Milk
Cheese sauce on crispy chips! What could be better than that? This is an easy to prepare, baked in the oven and delicious to eat snack menu or side dish treat.
Directions
- Add McCain Stay Crisp Chips in a prepared baking tray. Season with salt then bake until cooked and crispy.
- In the meantime make the cheese sauce, melt butter in a pot the mix in flour. Gradually add milk and keep on whisking till the sauce is smooth and lump free. Remove from heat then stir in half of the cheddar cheese.
- Fry bacon and drain, then set aside. Remove chips from the oven, then top with the remaining cheese then bake until the cheese has melted.
- Remove from the oven then drizzle cheese sauce on top, finish off with bacon stripes and spring onion. Serve hot.
