1. The promoter is McCain (“the Promoter”).
2. The promotional competition is open to all South African residents residing nationally and who are in possession of a valid identity document, passport, or document of proof of South African residency. Any director, member, partner, employee, agent, or consultant of the Promoter, the marketing service providers, or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business partners, or immediate family members may not enter or participate in the Competition and will automatically be disqualified upon entry.
3. Any participant under the age of 18 (Eighteen) years must be fully assisted by their guardian, who approves of and consents to the participant’s participation in the competition and the participant’s receipt/possession of the prize.
4. This promotional competition is open from 28 October 2024 and ends at 12am (midnight) on 28 November 2024. Any entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

6. Enter via +27 66 412 1584.
7. Participants will be required to accept the Terms and Conditions for the campaign before entering.
8. Participants must keep their till slip as proof of purchase.
9. Participants must enter their correct contact details. If a winner has given incorrect contact details, the Promoter reserves the right to select another winner in terms of the rules.
10. Participants may enter a total of 20 times provided that each entry is associated with a separate purchase and till slip.
11. The prize is 1 of 3 Toyota Starlets;
    1. Toyota Starlet Starlet 1.5L Xi MT (75G) 2024
    2. There will be 3 cars awarded in total. No substitution or re-assignment of the Prize is permitted.
    3. The Prize can only be handed over to the Winner if all details provided by the Winner are factually correct and requested supporting documentation are presented to the Promoter.
    4. The winner must be over 18 years of age and provide a valid driver’s license.
    5. The winner must obtain written confirmation of their car insurance before the prize is handed over.
    6. The winner must pay for the vehicle license registration fees.
    7. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize with any other prize of similar economic value at any time.
    8. The Winner has to be available for the official car handover in person. The handover will take place at a time/place assigned by the Promoter.
    9. The Promoter cannot guarantee the color or features of the car that is available upfront. The Winner will accept the model of the vehicle on the day of the handover and no further negotiation will be entered into.
    10. The Winners will accept the prize at their own risk.
    11. Once the Prize has been handed over to the Winner in terms hereof, the results of the Competition are final in all respects and no correspondence will be allowed.
    12. The Promoter does not take responsibility for the insurance of the vehicle whatsoever and this will be the complete onus of the Winner before the Prize has been handed over.
    13. The Winner needs to confirm that any existing and outstanding fines and vehicle license disc renewals are settled before the registration and handover of the car can only be complete.
12. A person may not win more than once.
13. Any prize not taken up for any reason within 5 (five) days of notification will be forfeited.
14. All winners will be required to provide their names, ID numbers and contact details.
15. Shortlisted Winners will be selected by means of a random draw by 20 November 2024 and will be notified telephonically. The Promoter (or their agent) will endeavor to contact the prize winner once every day for 5 (Five) consecutive working days after their name is drawn. If the prize winner cannot be contacted during this period, the prize will be forfeited and another winner will be selected in accordance with the rules.
16. Winners will be announced on Radio only (947 & KFM) on the 22nd of November and ECR on the 29th of November.
17. The Promoter reserves the right to name winners publicly and any other place where the Promoter deems fit. By entering the competition, prize winners agree to the publication of their name by the Promoter.
18. Failure to claim the prize or a refusal or inability to comply with these requirements within 5 (Five) days will disqualify the winner and a new winner will be drawn in their place at the sole discretion of the Promoter.
19. Any personal data submitted by you will be used solely in accordance with current South African data protection legislation and the Promoter’s privacy policy.
20. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any lost, damaged, delayed, incorrect or incomplete entries for any reason whatsoever. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
21. The Promoter shall not be responsible for the failure of any technical element relating to this promotion that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.
22. Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer or cell phone hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
23. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any claim if fraud or cheating is suspected, including, without limitation, through the manipulation of code or otherwise frequently falsifying data.
24. The Promoter has the right in its sole discretion to summarily disqualify a winner who, at any time, does not act in accordance with the spirit of the promotional competition. A disqualified winner shall immediately forfeit their right, title, or interest in any prize.
25. No applications from agents, third parties, organized groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.
26. The prize is not exchangeable for cash and is not transferable.
27. The Promoter reserves the right to use the images taken of the winners for publicity purposes in any manner they deem fit, without remuneration being made payable to the winner. However, the winner has the right to object to these images being used by written notification to the Promoter at McCain Foods, 116 Oxford Road, Rosebank, Att: Legal Department.
28. The Promoter shall have the right to change or terminate the promotional competition immediately and without notice if deemed necessary in its opinion and if circumstances arise outside of their control. In the event of such change or termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they have in respect of this promotional competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents.
29. In the event that the prize is not available despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavors to procure the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value.
30. Neither the Promoter, its agents, associated companies, nor any directors, officers, or employees of such shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the participant.
31. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
32. Participation in the promotional competition constitutes acceptance of the promotional competition rules and participants agree to abide by the rules.
33. You may not use any form of automated search or download technology to access this site without our prior written consent.
34. By accepting the terms and conditions as set out herein, you confirm that you are aware of the information that is being collected by us and that this information will be solely processed for the purposes of this promotion.
