Pea & Bacon Pasta Salad
Ingredients
300 grams McCain Peas
500 grams Bacon cut into pieces
2 tablespoons Butter
1 Onion finely diced
Small bunch of Thyme
½ cup Cream
½ cup Parmesan grated
Salt and pepper
Chopped Parsley
1 packet Penne pasta cooked and drained – keep ½ cup of the cooked pasta water

Directions
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
- Cook pasta and set aside
- Fry the bacon and set aside
- To the same pan, melt the butter and add the onions, thyme and peas and cook for 5 minutes
- Add the cream and parmesan
- Add the cooked bacon back to the pot and toss with the pasta – add some of the reserved water from the cooked pasta
- Add more parmesan and serve
