Pepper Sirloin & Wedges
Ingredients
4 x 250 grams beef sirloin steaks
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoon butter – separated
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
350 ml beef stock
Few sprigs of thyme
¾ cup cream
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons black pepper- coarsely crushed
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions
Prep Time: 5 - 10 minutes
Total Time: 25 - 30 minutes
- Cook the McCain Original Wedges according to package instructions
- Pat dry the steaks and generously sprinkle with salt and pepper
- Heat a skillet on high heat, when heated add oil and 1 tablespoon of butter
- When hot, add in the steaks and cook for 4 - 5 minutes per side until browned
- Once the steaks are cooked, remove and allow to rest
- To the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of butter
- Add the crushed garlic and thyme, followed by the beef stock
- Allow to simmer and reduce
- Once reduced add Worcestershire sauce, cream and peppercorns
- Cook on medium for another 2 minutes, until thickened – don’t let the cream boil
- Remove the sauce from the heat
- Pour the delicious pepper sauce over the succulent steaks and serve with McCain Original Wedges
