Pepper Sirloin & Wedges

Ingredients

McCain Original Wedges

4 x 250 grams beef sirloin steaks 

1 tablespoon olive oil 

2 tablespoon butter – separated 

1 teaspoon crushed garlic 

350 ml beef stock 

Few sprigs of thyme 

¾ cup cream 

Dash of Worcestershire sauce 

2 tablespoons black pepper- coarsely crushed 

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Prep Time: 5 - 10 minutes
Total Time: 25 - 30 minutes

  1. Cook the McCain Original Wedges according to package instructions 
  2. Pat dry the steaks and generously sprinkle with salt and pepper 
  3. Heat a skillet on high heat, when heated add oil and 1 tablespoon of butter 
  4. When hot, add in the steaks and cook for 4 - 5 minutes per side until browned 
  5. Once the steaks are cooked, remove and allow to rest 
  6. To the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of butter 
  7. Add the crushed garlic and thyme, followed by the beef stock 
  8. Allow to simmer and reduce 
  9. Once reduced add Worcestershire sauce, cream and peppercorns 
  10. Cook on medium for another 2 minutes, until thickened – don’t let the cream boil 
  11. Remove the sauce from the heat 
  12. Pour the delicious pepper sauce over the succulent steaks and serve with McCain Original Wedges
